The breakwater float is typically used in conjunction with large industrial tires to create a break wall barrier. They are normally chained to the inside of the industrial tires and a number of industrial tires are attached in a row creating the break wall effect.
Historically this has been a very cost effective use of a specialized product to address an attenuation, breakwater, barriers and boom need in "bodies of water."
